When you stay at Sands of Time Campground, located in the quaint fishing village of Kinnakeet, you will enjoy the serenity of Hatteras Island as in days gone by with the modern convenience of today. We are within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, a fishing pier, entertainment and pristine beaches. Just two and a half miles down the road is "Canadian Hole", famous nationwide among wind surfers and kite surfers. Food Lion and Movie Theater just 2 miles from park.
We offer large sites, full hookups,
50 and 30 amps., Free Cable TV, WiFi $, clean, hot
showers, laundry facilities, a fish cleaning station and shady tent sites. We also offer a
darling two bedroom/one bath cottage
rental, set off amid beautiful trees. Our rates are among the best on the Cape and our

Avon is 6 miles north of Buxton home of the worlds tallest
lighthouse, 18 miles north of Hatteras village. Avon is centrally located giving
you easy access to all areas of the Island. Only 1 mile from beach access ramp
34 - 2 miles from ramp 38.
